Colgate SlimSoft Event

Many thanks to Nuffnang (Nuffnang Singapore | Asia Pacific's First Blog Advertising Community) and Colgate (Colgate tooth brush | colgate.com.sg), I received an invitation to the Colgate SlimSoft Event on 30th June 2012 @ Skyve Elementary Bistro & Bar

It was a party to introduce us to the new toothbrush from Colgate. It's the Colgate SlimSoft toothbrush and with only 0.01mm bristles, it is currently one of the toothbrush with the thinnest bristles in Singapore.

I was first introduced to this toothbrush after reading BeatriceTan's blog. But it was through Daphne's blog (MOTHER, INC. —) did I receive my invitation to the party. Thank You both!

The Host VS The DJ

The bloggers whom I followed :
On the left is Daphne @ Mother Inc with her two children Truett & Kirsten. They're such darlings!
The one in red top is Beatrice @ Beatrice Tan - I read her blog daily! Oh, we're from same secondary school too.
Lastly, that's Brad @ Lady Iron Chef - I always visit his blog whenever I'm looking for places to dine in.

Some of the finger food from Skyve. Pretty good =)

Some fun facts that I've learnt from the event
  1.  The Chinese are believed to have invented the first natural bristle toothbrush made from the bristles from pigs' necks in the 15th century, with the bristles attached to a bone or bamboo handle. When it was brought from China to Europe, this design was adapted and often used softer horsehairs which many Europeans preferred. Other designs in Europe used feathers. - taken from Colgate website.
  2. We have to keep our toothbrush 6 feets away from the toilet as air bourne can travel up to 6 feets after flushing.
Proper Brushing Technique
brush1brush2brush3
Tilt the brush at a 45° angle against the gumline and sweep or roll the brush away from the gumline.Gently brush the outside, inside and chewing surface of each tooth using short back-and-forth strokes.Gently brush your tongue to remove bacteria and freshen breath.
Proper Flossing Technique

Use about 18" of floss, leaving an inch or two to work with.Gently follow the curves of your teeth.Be sure to clean beneath the gumline, but avoid snapping the floss on the gums.

My take-home - a bag full of goodies ^^

Lastly, will like to thanks Nuffnang & Colgate for organizing such an awesome party. Hope for more to come!
